The selection, installation, and maintenance of cantilever beam sensors significantly impact their measurement accuracy and lifespan. When selecting a sensor, the range should be chosen based on the project's maximum load, and a 30% safety margin is recommended to avoid overload damage. For dynamic load scenarios, the sensor's fatigue life must be considered. The accuracy class should be selected according to application requirements, such as OIML Class C or D. Accuracy is typically characterized by parameters such as nonlinearity and hysteresis error. For laboratory projects, a 0.05%FS high-precision sensor can be used, while 0.5%FS is sufficient for industrial applications. Environmental factors such as humidity, dust, corrosion, and temperature must be considered when selecting the protection level, such as IP65 or IP67, as well as the material, such as alloy steel or stainless steel. Special materials are required for high-temperature environments (>150 grader), og rustfrit stål med en belægning bør bruges i stærkt korrosive miljøer.
